About Pengey Penguin’s Books
At 197 pages for Pengey One or 325 pages for Pengey Two, these books may huge book for a young reader but that’s where author, John Burns evolved the standard novel format and did something special for the kids.
Drawing on his screenwriting experience, Mr. Burns separated paragraphs of narrative and dialogue by a space. The effect of that space is like giving the reader a breather, and, with that, a little encouragement for the novice reader to continue on. This design feature, while it is very difficult and expensive to prepare for the presses, has been praised kids, and moms, and dads and teachers alike.
